27 to November 11.- Colima. Feria de Todos Santos.
The principal fair of the state and bordering areas of
Jalisco and Michoacan, the All Saints Fair dates back to 1826. In 1934 it became
the Regional Agricultural, Livestock, Commercial, Industrial and Arts and Crafts
Fair. Today it functions in its own installations, next to the Niños Heroes
Park, better known as "El Rodeo", at kilometer 4 of the Colima-La Estancia
highway. It has extensive open spaces for rides and accommodates restaurants,
variety showrooms, open-air theaters and entertainment enclosures. Cultural and
recreational events are organized on a daily basis. November
15,16 y 17 .- Manzanillo. Cumbia, Salsa y Merengue International Festival.
The annual Cumbia, Salsa and Merengue International Festival
is held in the lovely Port of Manzanillo, with performances by artists and musicians
of international stature. End
of November.- Manzanillo. Sword Fish International Tournament.
This International Sailfish Tournament is open to the
public, and fishermen must previously register with the Organizing Committee of
the Manzanillo Fishing Club. Prizes are given for first, second and third place
in the sailfish, marlin and dorado categories.
