The forth and the last system can be found among the Salado, Naranjo and Coahuayana rivers, where the following mountains stand out, Piscila, Volcanillos, La Palmera, El Camichín, and Copales. The name Colima is derived from the náhuatl word "Colimán", as the initial dominion was called. "Colli", translated as hill, volcano or grandfather and "maitl", translated as hand or rule, combines to signify "place conquered by our grandfathers" or "place ruled by the Ancient God or Fire God", referring to the volcano.
