Manzanillo’s historic district trasnformation is a reality! From a distance, an impressive sculpture of a sailfish created by artist Sebastian, welcome us. Of enormous dimensions, it measures 25 meters in height, 30 meters of base and weighs 70 tons. It looks awesome in the explanade, at the end of the just remodeled waterfront in this first stage already concluded.

Jose Luis Ezquerra de la Colina, a prestigious architect, was in charge of designing and remodeling Manzanillo’s historic district. This new remodeling along with his design and constrcution of Las Hadas Resort, Manzanillo will hopefully be chosen as a tourist destination worldwide. The global investment of the private sector of Manzanillo’s historic district is estimated in 300 millions of pesos. Part of this investment was used to adapt the fiscal wharf in the commercial and office areas, to build a terminal for tourist crouses, yates, and the navy, and to build an executive hotel and a parking building. The change is a reality! The Town Hall facade looks like the beginning of a new urban image Manzanillo will have, one of the most important seaports of Mexico.
